042 Afro Lounge opened on November 15, 2021, inspired by the rising popularity of Afrobeat and Afro culture. We noticed that many spots capitalizing on this trend were not African-owned, and the few that were either lacked the vibrant energy of the city or were located far from its center. This realization motivated us  to create a place that embodies style, vibe, and authenticity, right in the heart of the city—and we did just that. Our passion lies in helping to tell our story, presenting our culture in a modern environment that resonates with the city's pulse. At 042, we offer a unique blend of African (Nigerian) cuisine with a touch of Caribbean flavors, bringing a taste of home to the urban landscape.
